Another year has come and gone, game sites have delivered their final verdicts, and the new year stretches long and mysteriously out before us. What will it bring? Frankly, no one knows for sure. But before abandoning 2008, there is this business of rounding up the final Xbox LIVE gaming statistics for our fanboy pleasure. We’ve got Xbox LIVE’s top 20 games and arcade titles for 2008 below.
Oh, Halo 3 - you old stalwart friend of Xbox 360 gamers, you managed to capture our hearts despite being released in 2007. Very impressive. Clearly your multiplayer has some serious legs. As for the otehr entries, I’m actually surprised to see Gears of War 2 with such a strong showing in the number four position, considering it was only released in November and hadn’t be fareing all that well compared to the other notable titles. I guess we’ll just have to take Microsoft’s word for it.
