Mega Man 9 DLC
Amongst the menu options in MegaMan 9 are a few modes that are missing but for the the promise that they’ll be available via downloadable content at a later date. That later date is tomorrow, October 7th.
Those who’ve already blasted through the game in the short time since its release may be inclined to extend their experience with tomorrow’s content.
Capcom announced that the first downloadable content for Mega Man 9 will fill in some of the aforementioned gaps:
- Endless Attack. Play on a stage without end. Test your skills by seeing just how far you can get. All results will be displayed in the rankings page.
- Proto Man Mode. Play the game as Proto Man. Proto Man has the Charge Short ability, Power Slide, and a shield used to deflect bullets at enemies. However, Proto Man takes double damage and has double bounce back when he is hit. Moreover, there’s no story for Proto Man and he is not compatible with Rankings and Challanges.
We don’t know what the price is, but this sounds like stuff only the most hardcore of Mega Man 9 fans would be willing to pony-up for. Especially so considering they’re launching just a mere few weeks after the game launched, which suggests they could have easily included it in the full game itself.
Still, any downloadable content is better than nothing.
