GTA IV Prompts Microsoft to Skip XBLA Release
According to an xbox.com update today, there will be no Xbox LIVE Arcade release this week.
Why?
Yesterday’s release of Grand Theft Auto IV.
“There’s no new Xbox LIVE Arcade game this week, and no other Xbox 360 games shipped this Tuesday. I’m not sure whether I need to spend much time talking about GTA IV, considering that, at this moment, 27 of my 97 friends are online and 25 of them are playing GTA IV“, says Denny Atkins, Games Editor at Xbox.com.
Xbox LIVE Arcade has traditionally released at least one new game every Wednesday.
The massively anticipated GTA IV is receiving unprecedented acclaim and is expected to smash videogame sales records worldwide.
