Clock Tower and Onimusha Films on their way?

News

The Capcom blog announced today that a Clock Tower and Onimusha film are in the works, and scheduled for release in 2009 and 2011 respectively.

The news comes on the heels of a self-congratulatory 25th anniversary celebration.  There’s also an accompanying poster in Japanese, and this is where the news is apparently buried.

You can click here to check out the poster.

According to Capcom, “In addition to the characters from some of Capcom’s signature and best-selling franchises, there’s also some exciting tidbits hidden in the bottom right corner of the image (and by ‘hidden’ I mean written in plain sight, just in Japanese)–a 2009 date for a Clock Tower movie, and 2011 for an Onimusha film!”

Clock Tower and Onimusha are games previously released on the PS2 and developed and published by Capcom.  There wasn’t any clarification whether these would be major American releases, or just localized Japanese productions, or if they would be live action or entirely CG.
