Civilization Revolution Demo Coming to Xbox LIVE
According to gamespot.com, Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution for the Xbox 360 will releasing a demo of the game prior to the game’s launch.
Available through Xbox LIVE, the demo is reported to be released Thursday, June 5th, worldwide.
According to gamespot.com, “players will be able to assume either Caesar’s laurel wreath as the head of Rome or Cleopatra’s crook and flail as Egypt’s pharaoh. Players can either play against the game’s computer-controlled opponents up to 1250 AD or head online to battle it out with human opponents over the same time period. The demo also comes packed with a tutorial for those unfamiliar with Civilization’s turn-based gameplay.” The demo will also run about 1.08G in size.
Civ Revolution is the highly anticipated “console-ized” version of the venerated PC classic. With simplified gameplay mechanics, shorter playtimes lasting several hours, and a beautiful eye-catching presentation, it stands the chance of becoming a big hit and a much needed boost in variety to the Xbox 360 library.
The full retail release of Civilization Revolution is slated for July 8.
