Amp Your Game National Gaming Tour Hits Calgary
Yet another stop of the Amp Your Game national gaming tour is scheduled this weekend in Calgary, Alberta. The tour has been making its way across Canada since mid-June, starting off with a bang in Halifax. It has also made stops in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg and Edmonton thus far.
This weekend, July 24-27, the tour is stopping in wild west Calgary, at the Eau Claire Market. If you’re in the area and your interested, certainly make an effort to drop by. There are many games on display that you can get amped on, including Call of Duty 4, Gears of War, and Halo 3, amongst others.
What’s at stake? A full sponsorship from Amp Energy drink as one of a four member crew of professional gamers. You’ll travel across North America and possibly the world playing in gaming tournaments and the prospect of winning large purses.

The view from Halifax.
But it isn’t all fun and games: four finalists from each city will be chosen only after they’ve risen to the top of a weekend-long tournament. After the tour has completed, the pool of finalists will continue to be evaluated by the three established members of the team until they’re comfortable with just one.
