A top 10 games to remake list with games that actually deserve to be remade
Typically these “games that need remakes” lists are full of games that are either a) ones I’ve never heard of or b) ones I couldn’t care less about. This list from gametrailers.com, however, is awesome. Frankly, any list that includes the less than well received but personally loved Killer Instinct is already well in my favour.
The list also includes Star Fox, which holds a special place in my heart. The original was downright awesome as was its follow-up on the N64, while the Gamecube versions kind of blew, but my hope was restored with Star Fox Command on the DS which was a whole new experience altogether. Nintendo needs to take the reigns back on this one. If they actually developed a new Star Fox in house for the Wii, it might be enough to make me play my Wii for the first time in many months.
Then they have the presence of mind to list Power Stone, Conker, and NBA Jam, three favorites of mine from back in the day. Honestly, they could not have been more spot on with this list, with the one glaring exception of their number one pick which seems a little odd to me. Oh well, no one’s perfect.
Here’s my number one, just off the top of my head: Actraiser for the SNES.
